Job Description

Factor I: Accountability
  • Achieve and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Remotely supporting customers and Service colleagues to do DCS troubleshooting.
  • Perform service operation tasks and duties as assigned by Service Leader.
  • Lead service project and supervise a team to carry out site execution and ensure effective and efficient management and implementation of site projects assigned to the group.
  • Control and monitor project site execution progress and performance.
  • Manage and supervise contractors and vendors to achieve project objectives in timely and cost-effective manner
  • Prepare service-related reports for customer and internal reporting.
  • Collaborate and support local PWS Sales team on project and service order pursuits.
  • Manage and implement service assignment in compliance to company standard procedures and process.
  • Deliver and close Service projects within customer expected schedule and within project budget.
  • Active change order management and pursue project variation orders to improve profit margin.
Scope Data
  • Operate in Indonesia region or AP region if required.
  • Extensive interaction with customers, contractors, vendors, and inter-company coordination.
Factor II: Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge And Skills
  • Minimum 5 years as Service engineering role with 3 years working experience in Process Control Automation
  • Good teamwork, interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Control Automation products and solutions such as DCS or PLC.
  • Good supervision skills
  • Experience (minimum required)
  • Good knowledge in power plant & process controls.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and an excellent communicator.
  • Degree/ Diploma in an engineering discipline (Automation, Instrumentation).
How Used
  • Basic engineering and instrumentation knowledge and experience required.
  • Liaise with customers and colleagues of different cultures in SEA and World regions.
  • Strong customer focus and understanding customer’s requirements.
  • Frequent travels within Indonesia region are expected.
  • Provide effective communication within Emerson and with local representatives and customers.
  • Understanding and Application of products.
Factor III: Supervision
  • Site installation and commissioning supervision and provide guidance to Service engineers, technicians, customers, and representatives.
Factor IV: Relationships
  • Reports to Service Leader.
  • Supervision of Service technicians
Other Remarks
  • Requires more than 80% travel
