Position Summary

Summary

The General Manager Operations is accountable to the Regional APAC Director of Oceaneering for the financial and technical management of the Company. They are also responsible for the organisation and implementation of the Management System Policy within the Oceaneering.

• Monitoring maintenance and operations practices to deliver optimum reliability .
• Preparation of bids and proposals .
• Monthly meetings .
• Identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives and processes .
• Mentoring of employees including training plan
• Monthly reporting
• Scheduling and allocating Operational projects .
• Monitoring Operational site performance .
• Adhering to the Operations Budget, including assisting sites with the development and management of budgets and monitoring capital budget expenditure within defined limits .
• Ensuring that Operational sites deliver nominated, on-spec products to customers as per agreed contracts and schedules .
• Ensuring that Oceaneering’s HSE Management System and expectations are fully implemented with Regional Operations and compliant with local regulations.
• Communicating regularly with the Client and Operational sites as required .
• Client satisfaction monitoring .
• Providing support to the Oceaneering Crisis Management Team, where required .
• Taking action to maximise the contribution of own area to the Company’s profitability and growth by constantly looking for opportunities to improve business performance; managing business operations to maintain competitive advantage; making cost-benefit decisions and ensuring that target revenues are met or exceeded .

General

• Financial viability of the Company
• Take care and manage the Company's efforts in Batam Branch Area including the right to appear before local authorities, taking care of permits required, including but not limited to management of the Company Certificate of Domicile, Taxpayer Identification Number, Sign Company List, pay taxes and other costs, attend meetings / gatherings both public and private, conduct negotiations and agreements with third parties and to take whatever measures represent the Company both within and outside the court one way or another by obtaining prior written approval or jointly with directors
• Reviewing manpower demands and training requirements to ensure maximum utilisation and potential of personnel both for the short and long term trends
• HSE & Quality management within the Company
• Holding regular meetings to ensure an effective service focused to asset business and technical targets and to ensure plant and equipment is correctly certified
• Ensuring contractual and cost reporting systems are in place to meet both Oceaneering and client requirements
• Addressing long-term inspection activities, new technology and techniques to optimise inspection effort and minimise intrusive inspection and costs. The application of correct inspection standards to the contract services, including new legislation and standards, is a key element of this activity
• Management of the Inspection services to the clients to satisfy client, statutory and business compliance and Oceaneering internal requirements.
• Health, safety and welfare of all employees of the Company
• Planning and strategy of the Company.

• Ensure division comply all requirements of ISO 17020, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Ensure that his/her department / division issues are bringing up and represent well to Management.
• Ensure Company activities in his/her area responsibilities (department) are implemented well and run in good progress.
• Ensure all his/her subordinates are completed with any necessary skill, develop subordinates capability, and lead subordinates reach the target.
• Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for Payroll Administrator, Account / Assistant Executive, NDT Operation Manager , a n d NDT Technical Manager

QUALIFICATION & TRAINING

• Knowledge of Competency Based Training and Assessment
• Experience leading and managing a multidisciplinary team
• Minimum of 10 years related work experience in South East Asia
• Demonstrated experience in implementing HSEQ management systems
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or science (mandatory) or minimum 1 5 years’ experience in Integrity Management Digital Solutions.
• Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting and business planning
• Formal Management training (desirable)
• Experience in operational integrity and safety management systems

• Knowledge of NATA requirements

• Demonstrated management, leadership, c ommunication and planning skills
• Knowledge of facilities, maintenance, engineering and project management
