Development Associate, Energy (Jakarta, Indonesia)

Our client is a leading renewable energy company that is headquartered in the Philippines and working across the Asia Pacific region. They are looking for a Development Associate to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia who will play a key role in supporting the Development Lead to build the pipelines in renewable energy projects.

What you will be doing:

• Technical Expertise and Investment: Being a partner-focused company, they will heavily rely on technical expertise in its projects. You will be responsible for providing valuable input and insights during the decision-making process for new sites or partners.
• Project Management: You will be encouraged to bring innovative ideas and improvements to establish processes and optimize project development.
• Project Planning and Execution: You will work closely with the Development Lead and the company's partners to plan and develop renewable energy projects, primarily in solar and wind energy. Your engineering expertise will be instrumental in crafting project plans and ensuring seamless execution.
• Partner Collaboration: Build strong partnerships, and you will play a pivotal role in finding and collaborating with excellent partners to enhance their project portfolio. Your ability to build relationships and provide technical insights will be critical in driving successful projects.
• Land Acquisition and Development: You will leverage your experience in land development to identify suitable sites and navigate regulatory challenges related to land conversion. Your input and due diligence assessments will help mitigate potential pitfalls.

What an outstanding candidate will look like:

• You need to have analytical and problem-solving skills: you should demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving abilities to address complex project challenges.
• Renewable Energy Knowledge: Experience in solar and wind energy projects is preferred, and knowledge of hydro or geothermal projects can be an added advantage.
• Engineering Background: Candidates should possess a technical background in engineering, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
• Land Development Experience: Prior experience in land acquisition and development will be valuable in handling the land portion of projects.
• Possess strong partner collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be a team player
