Senior Process Safety Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Process Safety Engineer with a proven track record in FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas), FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), FPSO (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading), and LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in process safety engineering, with a deep understanding of industry-specific safety protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive process hazard analyses, risk assessments, and safety reviews to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate process safety considerations into project design, engineering, and operational plans.
• Interface with clients, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and compliance with industry codes and regulations.
• Develop and review process safety documents, including HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies, SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assessments, and emergency response plans.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay current with advancements in process safety technology, industry best practices, and regulatory updates, and incorporate them into project strategies.
• Lead and oversee the process safety aspects of FLNG, FEED, FPSO, and LNG projects from concept to execution, ensuring the highest safety standards are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide expert technical guidance on process safety matters, addressing complex challenges and proposing innovative solutions to enhance safety performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong expertise in FLNG, FEED, FPSO, and LNG projects, with a solid understanding of their unique safety considerations and challenges.
• Experience in developing and reviewing safety-related documents, including HAZOP reports, SIL assessments, and safety cases.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in process safety engineering within the oil and gas sector.
• Familiarity with international safety standards, codes, and regulations relevant to process safety in the oil and gas industry.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in process hazard analysis techniques (HAZOP, LOPA, etc.) and safety assessment methodologies.
