Process Safety Management - Assistant Manager

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Manage and ensure that process safety elements both from documentation and from engineering side been applied to prevent catastrophic accident and near miss, particularly structural collapse, explosion, fire, and toxic release associated with loss contamination of energy or hazardous substance.

Responsibilities :

• Initiate internal events related OHS, e.g. (OHS monthly and world safety day)
• Ensure and maintain safe travel standards compliance
• Conduct risk-based audit to Company’s third party or CSMS (contractor and transporter) to ensure their compliance and review it annually
• Assist company with process safety accident management and prevention.
• Participate in risk analysis (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, dll) study for new change and responsible to ensure all HAZOP recommendation implemented during project phase
• Ensure and maintaining procedure guideline and process safety policy implementation at manufacturing
• Planning and implementing internal process safety audit and inspections to all process plants and updating UMC process safety work together with cluster process safety
• Design the safety program and give the training to improve all employee's occupational and process safety awareness thru online learning centre, external and internal offline training
• Participate and responsible for completing external audits related to process safety and work safety, both audits from Company and external parties
• Ensure and maintain process safety standards compliance and follow by the related parties
• Detail Investigate to find the root cause of a process safety nearmiss/incident
• Coordinate process safety subcommittee to discuss plan and strategic actions of process safety standard implementation include SHEC process safety pillar
• Report process safety issue to SHE manager for follow up action

Skills and Key Requirements

• Having good knowledge of key company business practices and processes
• Good communication skills, strong decision-making abilities, team work and good project leadership
• Able to handle multiple priorities.
• Minimum 3 year working experience as safety or process/production coordinator and understand basics of process
• Bachelor degree concern to safety, chemical engineering, engineering and science.
• Required language(s) English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Demonstrated excellence in priority setting and execution skills.
• Have high integrity, honestly, high motivation, good self interpersonal and can work personally or team.
• Capable to operate Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office.
• Has strong problem solving and analysis skills
• Demonstrated high level of problem solving ability to make decisions independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to be place in Sei Mangkei, North Sumatera.
• Safety and Quality Oriented.
• Leadership, Management and Organization skills.
• Has good analytical thinking.
