Senior Legal Counselor - Risk Management

1. Ensuring monitoring of the Bank's legal risk so that the legal interests of the Bank are protected.
2. Ensuring the Bank's legal risks for every corporate activity (Non-Banking) (for example: (i) buying/selling of Bank assets, (ii) leasing, (iii) Bank corporate action activities (for example: changes to the articles of association of the Bank and its subsidiaries) , sale of part of the shares of the Bank's subsidiaries, merger, separation of the Bank and its subsidiaries) have been disclosed and mitigated so that the legal interests of the Bank are protected.
3. Become a member of the NPLCC (as an alternate from the Head of Legal).
4. Ensuring that the Legal Quality Assurance Credit Portfolio is in accordance with Management's directions;
5. Coordinate with CIMB Legal under the CIMB Group in having initiatives related to standard non-credit documents that will be applied regionally
6. Ensuring that Notaries and PPAT and Legal Advisors provide services in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Bank.

Qualifications

Strategy and Planning (Strategy & Planning)

• Formulating ideas to improve Service Level Agreement (SLA) including simplification of procedures by providing guidelines.
• Conduct a review of legal aspects in every corporate activity of the Bank to ensure that business needs are covered and the legal interests of the Bank are protected based on applicable laws and regulations.

Business Performance and Management (Business Performance and Management)

• Provide a review of requests for opinions submitted by the Business Legal Group Head for all segments, before seeking approval from the Head of Legal.
• Motivating and directing the team to achieve project completion targets according to KPI.
• Ensuring that the Bank obtains Notary/PPAT services along with Legal Advisors in accordance with the agreed SLA.
• Reviewing and perfecting every draft, proposals, opinions from every Legal Counselor under his coordination.
• Performing functions as alternate Head of Legal in NPLCC membership. Ensuring that the legal interests of the Bank are protected in extending credit by carrying out Legal Quality Assurance.
• Human Resource Management (People Management)
• Provide guidance and direction to Legal Counselors under their coordination in the context of developing employee competencies.
• Coordinating and supervising the implementation of the main tasks according to the by each Legal Counselor under his/her coordination.
• Ensuring the protection of the legal interests of the Bank in corporate (Non-Banking) activities (for example: (i) buying/selling of Bank assets, (ii) leasing, (iii) Bank corporate action activities (for example: amendments to the articles of association of the Bank and its subsidiaries, sales some of the shares of the Bank's subsidiaries, mergers, separations of the Bank and its subsidiaries) have been disclosed and mitigated so that the legal interests of the Bank are protected.

Compliance (Regulatory Compliance)

• Ensuring the implementation of the legal risk management function in determining the Bank's policies and procedures as well as the standard provisions that apply in the Bank.
• Conducting legal reviews of the applicable laws and regulations, in particular to assess the impact of changes to these laws and regulations on the Bank's legal risk exposure.

Requirements:

• Min 5 years in banking industry
• Law degree bachelor
• Good negotiation and communication skill
• Proficient in English
• Hybrid working arrangement
