HSBC's Global Banking and Markets division operates in over 55 countries and territories and services 4,000 clients around the world. Global Banking is responsible for the overall management of relationships with major corporate and institutional clients across a broad range of geographies. This involves working closely with variety of product specialists to deliver comprehensive range of services such as treasury and capital markets, transaction banking, strategic advisory and investment management and the origination and ongoing management of the credit and lending product.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Vice President, Debt Capital Markets.

Job Summary :

Origination role in Debt Capital Markets Indonesia. The candidate will be responsible as a product specialist in Debt Capital Markets offering debt capital markets products among others loan syndication, G3 Bonds, Asset Backed Securitization, Private Placement, Hybrid, Green Financing etc. The solutions to be offered to Indonesia clients relationship in Global Banking and Commercial Banking.

Principal Accountability:

• To work as a team within DCM function across geographies and HSBC network.
• Collaborate and work with Global Banking and Commercial Banking partners to provide solution for their clients.
• To obtain DCM mandates from Indonesia clients in Global Banking and Commercial Banking.
• To lead the preparation of pitch book, pitching, negotiation and securing deals for DCM solutions from prospective clients.
• To front as client relationship within DCM and to build trust with prospective clients.
• Keep abreast with market environment and regulatory requirement.
• Cross sell with other product partners such as Project Finance/ Global Markets/ ECM/ Advisory/ Issuer Services/ Private Banking.
• Lead the execution of DCM mandates and to work with various parties of the projects.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these.
• Ability to build a trusted relationships within a team and with clients ranging from corporate clients, state owned enterprises and government officials.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to speak for large audience.
• Speak Indonesian and English.
• Extensive skills in using software packages i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders within HSBC among others onshore and offshore stakeholders and clients.
• Extensive product knowledge in various financing products such as syndicated loan, global bond, term loan, global market products.
• Strong numerical and writing skill sets.
• Experience working in a client facing role with a proven ability to build strong, trusted client relationships.
• Preference for working experience of 8 years+.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of commercial and credit risks including ability to assess financial statements.
