Teacher facilitator for STEM+ Wonderlan Event

We are organizing a 1-day pop-up maker space event aimed at inspiring young minds to explore the world of creativity, technology, and innovation. To make this event a success, we are seeking passionate and sociable teachers to take charge of demonstration booths, where attendees will engage in hands-on activities related to physics, arts, and computer science. If you are an enthusiastic teacher fluent in English, knowledgeable in any of these subjects, and love sharing your expertise with others, we want to hear from you !

Responsibilities:

• Engage with visitors and students, explaining the skills they can gain from the demonstrations and how they can further develop them.
• Collaborate with other teachers and event organizers to ensure a smooth and successful event.
• Provide guidance, support, and assistance to participants.
• Conduct hands-on activities with the visitors (students) and explain the concepts behind them.
• Lead and manage a demonstration booth in the pop-up maker space event.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all attendees.

Requirements:

• Experience as a teacher in physics, arts, or computer science (or related fields) for minimum 1 year
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse audiences, including students of different age groups and backgrounds (ranging from Grade 5 - 11).
• Availability to commit for the training (in-person and virtual, will be scheduled upon agreement) in October and for the event day in mid-November weekend.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simplified and engaging manner.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Sociable personality with a passion for sharing knowledge and inspiring others.
• Enthusiasm, creativity, and a positive attitude
