Workshop Assistant Manager Jobs

Our Client in Shipyard Industry is looking for a talent with the details below:

Responsibilities

• Prepares annual work program
• Accepts and inspects spare parts/working tools repair process request
• Ensuring the process and results of ship repair work are in accordance with demand and quality in order to support the smooth operation of the ship
• Supervise the entire workshop process (repair analysis, administrative system, mechanical, welding, and electrical) to run effectively and efficiently
• Monitors and controls the process of repairing spare parts/working tools
• HR management (MPP, performance management, coaching, and counseling)
• Monitors and evaluates the process of receiving damaged goods that must be repaired (parts)

Qualifications

• Good understanding of welding procedures (WPS & PQR), metallurgy, electromotor, gearboxes, NDT types, main bearings, and ship compression
• 10 years experience in related field and 2 years as assistant manager (for non-seafarer background)
• Minimum 2 years of shore-based experience
• Able to commute to the job placement (Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta
• Experience as seafarer with 2E or CE rank for 6 years on a tugboat and small tanker (5000 DWT)
• Mastering ship mechanical, electrical, and navigation troubleshooting, machining, and welding of 2 and 4 strokes diesel engines
• Education D4/S1 in Marine Engineering, Shipping System Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ATT I, ATT II
• Proficient in English (oral and written)
