S&Op / Integrated Business Planning Lead

Purpose of Role

S&OP/IBP Lead is responsible for leading and driving a collaborative and efficient monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.

This role is responsible for running on a weekly and monthly basis S&OP meetings to align a consensus plan with Sales, Marketing and Finance. It is also responsible for managing any overlays to the baseline volume driven by new product introductions, promotions, price increases and any other commercial activity that may affect demand.

This role will own the end-to-end S&O/IBP process in the assigned market and is accountable for the forecast performance to achieve agreed upon targets.

While responsible for S&OP and Demand planning, IBP Lead needs to ensure a balance on all aspects and trade-offs of supply, including managing inventory levels and minimising out of stocks, whilst delivering a responsive supply chain that fulfils Sales forecasts with key stakeholders in the markets

Top Accountabilities

Run & Improve the S&OP/IBP process in the Market

• Improve maturity of S&OP/IBP Process
• Facilitate monthly S&OP/IBP process and weekly S&OE meetings
• Lead the generation & alignment of the 18-24 month rolling demand plan on SKU/Location level in weekly and monthly buckets
• Collaborate with Innovation, Commercial, marketing for new products introduction
• Drive value discussion, scenario planning and O&Rs w stakeholders

Lead Demand Planning Process - Overlay of Promotions and Market Intelligence

• Ensure solid assumptions build based on historical trends into the forecast
• Analyse & manage volume & overlays assumptions with cross functional teams
• Conduct root cause analysis, corrective action to drive continuous improvement

Collaborate/Drive Demand and Supply integration with local stakeholders

• Escalate necessary/significant issue for quick resolution
• Communicate critical changes and supply constraints
• Drives demand and supply integration, supply trade-off and alignment

Skills And Capabilities

• Detailed understanding of end to end supply chain operational processes within Diageo e.g. IBP, S&OP, DRP, MPS, inventory, conversion, logistics and customer service.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills; able to manage multiply stakeholders across functions and geographies
• Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and manage tension in S&OP conversations.
• Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
• Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
• Good knowledge, management and coordination of S&OP process
• Excellent analytical, organizational and decision making skills
• Previous experience working with SAP APO is preferred; however experience with similar planning tools will be considered

Experience

• Wider cross-functional experience preferable e.g. Commercial, Finance or Supply.
• Finance roles would also be considered.
• High degree of quantitative and analytical skills.
• Prior experience leading and embedding S&OP best practice ways of working
• +5 years in Supply Chain planning experience (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Material Planning), including significant experience managing S&OP process.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, engineering, or business degree.
• APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent desirable.
