Sales Engineer (Aftermarket| Valves | Surabaya, Indonesia)

The Engineer will be jointly accountable for customer focus and technical solutions in both base Oil & Gas and additional growth in our client portfolio for the Oil & Gas and Downstream Industry in Surabaya. This position will be based in Indonesia.

This position is responsible for customer facing engagement providing technical support for the client products, solutions and services to our end-customer as well as their channel partners.

The responsibilities of this role are:

• Prepare the deviations and clarifications sheets
• Customer Satisfaction & Technical Excellence
• Preparation and submittal of excellent quality technical advice
• Operate and update tools such as Product sizing programs, SFDC etc
• Building up a closer bilateral relationship with customers / factories / other departments
• Select the suitable product and proper accessories in accordance with the customers’ specification, codes and basic plant application understanding to generate sound technical advice
• Communicate & finalize with customer to determine the product specification and scope of technical supply

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• A strong, confident team player who can work with both internal and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic, with initiative and drive and a keen sense of urgency in solving problems.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, as client-facing time is approximately 65~70%
• Trustworthy, open & communicative individual, who is adaptable, stress-tolerant, and goal-oriented.
• University degree in process control or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5+ years of related experience in a related field.
