Mechatronics Engineer Jobs

Responsibilities:

• Understand the machine operating principle, Consequence of wear and tear parts and product Defects
• Identifies and drives change to ensure automation effectiveness of existing processes
• Design, engineer, and modify existing and new moderately-complex automation equipment, tooling and applications to automate manufacturing processes
• Should be willing to learn & enhance the skill in all type of Automation equipment
• Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes
• Lead and manage a team towards ensuring all highly automated production equipment are in optimal condition and develop the necessary technical competencies and equipment capabilities to meet operational performance targets within the approved maintenance budget.
• Manage preventive maintenance and calibration. Ensure all equipment performance is monitored and recorded for continuous improvement and reliability.
• Directs daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs
• Should be able to give feedback to improve the design of process and equipment
• Collaborates and offers input to planning, building, and maintaining the Automation framework and associated processes for new products
• Ensure smooth start up of new equipment together with equipment vendors.
• Ensure all software and hardware of PLC, DCS, VSD and PC are available and that an effective maintenance strategy is in place.

Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge and experience with AB servo motors, AB drive, pneumatics, AB PLC, Omron, PLC, Epson Robot, island view, panel view software (advantage)
• Knowledge in mechanical design and automation systems
• Skill (s): Solidworks, CREO, Autodesk Inventor, robotics exposure, electronics wiring and programming
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Engineering of Automation systems, instrumentation and control is essential
• Understands safety rated automation and hardware requirements, ensures systems are in place to maintain safety ratings
• Possesses Diploma or Degree in mechatronics or automation engineering or in related discipline.
