About the Opportunity

We need a Sales and Customer Acquisition Volunteer to help us reach out to potential customers (tech startups) and close sales (sign up to a subscription plan). The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers through outbound and inbound inquiries. This opportunity is suited for anyone who want to learn and practice sales skills. Perhaps you are in marketing and have always wanted to move to sales, but never had the opportunity. Now you can try it out without jeopardizing your current job.

• Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism.

• Have excellent persuasion skills.
• Excellent record keeping.
• Ability to thrive independently and as part of a team.
• Organizational skills, including prioritizing, time management, and meeting deadlines.
• Undergraduate degree or similar education.
• Dabbling with (previous experience) sales is a big plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken.

Activities

Working with the head of Sales and Marketing, your Volunteer role will include all or a selection of:

• Converting
• Post-sales support including handing over to the support team.
• Prospecting – identifying tech startups and reaching out to decision-makers.
• Documents all activities.
• You have significant freedom to evolve within your role. Challenge the existing systems and processes and continually improve them.
• Other related job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Demonstrating product and service.
• Communicate ideas and solutions effectively in order to maintain positive, ongoing business relationships and customer service.
• Provides Team Lead with a timely update.
