Job Description
Objectives of the Position


  • Lead SEA on rice crop and rice crop solution portfolio development and project management function to develop agricultural solutions and launch innovation to broaden offering to farmers
  • Key role in subregional marketing team, acting as an effective interface between regional rice crop team and country field marketing teams
  • Lead Southeast Asia (SEA) Rice crop system strategy and portfolio roadmap and steer crop system business operations in SEA countries to achieve ambitious financial and strategic goals in APAC region.


Main Areas of Responsibilities:


  • Represent regional needs in APAC Regional/Global Crop strategy development
  • Focal contact point for regional functions
  • Support SEA Marketing Head in contributing to the definition of the budget and plan objectives at country and sub-regional level.
  • Drive Long term plan alignment for Southeast Asia (SEA) and review country crop system plans in SEA align with APAC regional strategies
  • Drive recommendation of Life Cycle Management (LCM) projects and business cases to ensure a competitive and sustainable mid-to-long term product portfolio in SEA
  • Develop Brand Plans for key focus brands
  • To establish wholistic key asset/brand management strategies and processes in SEA
  • Lead synergy opportunities across countries via best practice sharing and systematic transfer of information concerning market, customer, and competition.
  • Overseeing countries' implementation of crop strategies to meet the organizational goals
  • Develop Crop System Plan for SEA including market trend, opportunity and gap. Identify key focus area to maximize business opportunities and steer crop system business operations
  • Lead portfolio optimization and allocation aligning with APAC Regional strategy to ensure profitable growth of SEA
  • Initiate preparation of key New Product Launches in Southeast Asia (SEA) Countries



Job Requirements (Minimum Requirement To Carry Out The Work)


  • Degree in an agricultural or biological discipline or Bachelor of Science with significant relevant experience
  • Ability to analyze complex and diverse problem situations creatively leading to the generation and implementation of effective solutions
  • An expertise on the rice crop and rice crop solution portfolio including hands-on experience on crop agronomics and crop protection.
  • Proven capacity in business development, launching new products, marketing management and financial analysis.
  • Managed teams across countries
  • Ability to communicate and influence a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to motivate and share knowledge and expertise with others.
  • At least 5 years of relevant Sales or Marketing experience including new product and business development. Additionally, experience in Crop Protection industry or Agriculture value chain
