Join our team as a Regional Agriculture Manager for our operation in Asia and embark on a journey that promotes sustainability and drives positive change across Asia. You will play a pivotal role in leading a professional agriculture service that adheres to our principles and certification requirements. The Opportunity:
As Regional Agriculture Manager for Asia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations and fostering strong relationships throughout the region. Leveraging your experience as a skilled people leader, you will promote team cohesiveness, drive high performance, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Your exceptional people skills will be instrumental in supporting and coaching a team of leaders across the region. Effective risk management, crisis resolution, and compliance with policies and procedures will be pivotal to your success. Furthermore, you will actively contribute to market development, collaborate with diverse divisions, and bring your expertise as an auditor to the forefront.
You will be responsible for…
- Implementing best practices for managing client and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensuring regional teams are responsive to program management systems and quality assurance.
- Supporting market development and contributing to the strategic growth of Preferred by Nature in the region.
- Ensuring that Preferred by Nature is a great place to work, building and maintaining staff engagement and enhancing team performance through regular feedback and reinforcement.
- Conducting and leading relevant audits alongside colleagues in the region.
What you can expect during your first year with us:

Within three months, you will:
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback based on established requirements.
- Observe agriculture audits where relevant.
- Understand and adhere to Preferred by Nature's principles and accreditation requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with the agriculture services offered by Preferred by Nature.
- Establish strong relationships with the Asia team and key stakeholders.
Within six months, you will:
- Engage with clients and conduct agriculture audits in different countries in Asia.
- Support market development initiatives and contribute to strategic growth.
- Proactively identify and manage risk factors across clients, sub-regions, and industries.
- Successfully manage client relationships, ensuring quality customer service.
- Oversee audit timeliness and quality performance across all services and countries.
- Monitor staff capacity and resources, making recommendations for adjustments.
Within one year, you will:
- Develop responsive action plans for high-risk areas and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other Preferred by Nature divisions and contribute to organization-wide initiatives.
- Implement best practices for managing client and stakeholder relationships.
- Lead the regional team in delivering high-functioning agriculture services.
- Drive positive client feedback and meet targets for audits.
Important that you:
- Have a bachelor's degree with a concentration in Agriculture, Environment, Biology etc.
- Have experience in market development and stakeholder management.
- Willing to travel regionally up to 50% of the time – especially during peak seasons.
- Have leadership experience in general and at least three years of experience leading other managers.
- Have at least 5 years of experience in agricultural certification.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Would also be great, but not necessary if you:
- Are already qualified as an auditor (e.g. Rainforest Alliance, Global GAP, Fairtrade etc.)
