About Our Client
Global vertically integrated environmental science and crop protection company, prioritizing sound sustainable production for its products.

• Manage constructive dialogue with relevant stakeholders, including NGOs on legislative trends and topics related to the company's biotech and agrichemical business in the region
• Develop the stakeholder network necessary to fulfil the Industry Affairs strategy (create stakeholder mapping, analysis, and engagement plans) and at the same time, develop, leverage and maintain high- level relationships with key policymakers, government officials and influencers
• Influence the development of new legislations about Crop Protection, Seeds and Traits business by creating policy proposals and working with government agencies and national authorities in the region
• Provide strategic analysis of trends and expedite management of emerging issues of strategic importance to the company
• Work with Global and Country Public Affairs Science and Sustainability and cross functions to set strategy, and priorities on relevant Public & Government Affairs issues/topics
• Develop positive, proactive articles to promote the company's Crop Science messages across target groups (media, political, NGOs) and strengthen its presence
• Work together with cross-functions in project teams and build support/advocacy for business success
• Steer and coordinate legislative efforts by working with governmental and national authorities in Southeast Asia towards a favourable political and regulatory environment for the agrochemical industry and the company
• Shape the sustainability narrative and foster closer dialogue with relevant to governments on supporting smallholder farmers' productivity, livelihoods and the contribution of agriculture to drive national food security interest
• Monitor, analyse and communicate policy developments and emerging issues impacting the company's Crop Science and be accountable for influencing such policies/regulations

The Successful Applicant

• Open mind-set for driving change and transforming processes
• Proven track record in policy developments, stakeholder management, strategy brainstorming and advisory to the topic of environmental science, crop protection, and agriculture as field of expertise
• Strategic mindset and ability to manage ambiguity
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Bachelor degree in the area of Public Policy or Law, Agricultural Science, or Environmental Science and related field.
• Excellent english command (experience upon reporting/working with expats/MNC is preferable)
• 13-14+ years of business experience in the related industries
• Solid knowledge of human/environmental safety requirements
