Head Of Newsroom Jobs

RGE is looking for a Head of Newsroom to oversee digital and social media content production and distribution for a range of businesses.

You will work closely with a diverse cross functional team of business and sustainability leaders to understand their needs and communications objectives, then translate this into multi-format content that appeals directly to our key stakeholders. You will help manage a team of writers, designers, videographers and photographers in the RGE Newsroom to tell stories across multiple digital channels, in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

And you will take charge of paid and organic amplification and measurement to ensure the content is seen by the right people, on the right channel.

Who We Are Looking For

The Head of Newsroom will have a global view and the ability to understand local country/community cultures and realities in Southeast Asia. It’s also critical that you dedicate time and energy to comprehend the complex range of resource-based manufacturing in which our businesses operate. Then, the journey begins. You will craft engaging, concise and on-brand messaging to effectively convey the voice, tone and key messages of RGE’s business groups across social and digital channels. Beyond having mastered the art of writing in multiple styles for various channels in both short and long form, we are looking for a candidate who is as passionate about ‘improving lives’ as they are about using social media as a tool for B2B companies to connect with, grow and engage their communities.

Experience and Skills Needed

· Proven digital content marketer with strong understanding of the social media landscape and key platforms

· Proven ability to create shareable content, evidenced by a strong digital content portfolio demonstrating excellent aesthetics and ability to deliver compelling messages

· Currently holds senior position in content marketing team, eg Head of Content, Head of Marketing or similar; in-house or agency; 12+ years experience

· Strong analytics and amplification skills, and proven ability to make data-driven decisions

· Strong English skills; experience working across multiple languages a bonus

· Proven ability to build and grow teams

· B2B experience is advantageous, but it isn’t a deal breaker.

· Ready, willing and able to live, work and thrive in Jakarta
