Agriculture-Carbon Project Consultant Jobs

The Consultant will be responsible for developing a carbon-related project pipeline in the agriculture sector. The primary objective is to deliver at least 8 project pipelines with prioritization, economics assessment, and a clear pathway for implementation. This role requires strong research capabilities, stakeholder engagement skills, and expertise in conducting feasibility assessments and economic analysis. The consultant will report to the Technical General Manager and provide periodic updates on the progress of the assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Desk Research:

• Conduct comprehensive desk research to identify potential carbon related projects in the agriculture sector.

• Gather information on relevant policies, regulations, and market trends related to carbon credits and agriculture.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage with various stakeholders including landowners, technology providers, governments, standards agencies, NGOs, and other relevant parties.

• Build relationships, gather insights, and foster collaboration for the successful development of the project pipeline.

3. Feasibility Assessment:

• Conduct detailed technical assessments of the identified projects, evaluating their suitability and viability for carbon credit generation.

• Perform economic analysis, including credit output estimation, capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) assumptions, and economic variables.

4. Project Pipeline Development:

• Develop a project pipeline comprising a minimum of 8 projects, ensuring proper prioritization based on defined criteria and feasibility assessment results; the project should at least have 3 biochar credit projects.

• Create a clear pathway for the implementation of each project, outlining key milestones and necessary actions.

5. Technical desk

• Response to technical questions related to the agriculture sector from CarbonX team

6. Periodic Reporting:

• Prepare and deliver progress reports to the Technical General Manager, as per Payment Terms.• Bi-weekly offline meetings highlighting the status of project development, challenges, and recommendations.

• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of project-related information and maintain organized project files.
