Legal Manager, Indonesia(M4712)

We are looking for a passionate Legal Manager based in Jakarta, Indonesia who will support the legal and compliance affairs of Xiaomi Indonesia. As part of Xiaomi Southeast Asia Legal Team, you will be working in a highly dynamic and international environment.

As a business partner, you will be responsible to support the business of Xiaomi Indonesia with your proven expertise and pragmatic, business oriented and pro-active advice. Given the range of Xiaomi Indonesia business, the position will include all fields of law and you will be required to step out of the comfort zone. This position will directly report to Head of Legal, Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities:

• Draft guidelines, policies and templates
• Review marketing material and marketing campaigns
• Provide legal advice and handle legal matters relating to sales, marketing, after sales operations, logistic, product compliances, human resources, admin and internal support functions
• Liaise with HQ Legal Team and manage external counsels
• Liaise and manage government, regulatory and/or local authorities
• Handle legal disputes and consumer claims
• Promote and implement Xiaomi Compliance Program
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts
• Research and advise on laws and regulations which may impact on Xiaomi Indonesia business

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in law from an accredited university
• Excellent communication in English (written and oral), cross-cultural skills and interpersonal skills. Experience working with stakeholders across all levels of organization
• Capable to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Capable to multi task, prioritize and handle tight deadlines
• Strong business acumen and ability to work in an unstructured working environment
• Qualified lawyer with 5-7 years PQE in Indonesia. Prior experience within smartphones, IOT, E-Commerce and/or FMCG industry is preferred.
