Junior Collection Officer Jobs

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Landing Collection Lead to join our team. As a Lending Collection Lead, you will be responsible for managing the collection process for delinquent loans and ensuring timely recovery of funds in our lending platform. Your primary focus will be maintaining healthy loan portfolios, and optimizing collection strategies.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain regular contact with borrowers to facilitate repayment and resolve any outstanding issues or disputes.
• Provide regular reports and updates to the management team on collection activities, recovery rates, and portfolio performance.
• Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, and other arrangements with borrowers, taking into consideration their financial capabilities and the company's objectives.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes related to collections in the P2P lending sector, and implement necessary adjustments to collection strategies.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize recovery rates, minimize losses, and improve overall portfolio performance.
• Collaborate with the customer service team to address borrower inquiries and provide guidance on repayment options and solutions.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements in the designated systems.
• Conduct thorough analysis and investigation of delinquent accounts, assessing the borrowers' financial situations and determining appropriate collection strategies.
• Work closely with internal teams, such as risk management, legal, and customer service, to address complex collection cases and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and manage delinquent loans in the lending platform, ensuring adherence to internal collection policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with borrowers, internal teams, and external stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Proven experience in collections, credit risk management, or a related role within the financial industry, preferably in the P2P lending or consumer lending sector.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet collection targets and deadlines.
• Excellent knowledge of collection laws, practices, and techniques, with a focus on maintaining compliance and ethical standards.
• Proficiency in using collection management software and other relevant tools to track and manage delinquent accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with delinquent borrowers, employing tact, empathy, and persuasion to achieve positive outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in credit management or collections are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess borrowers' financial situations and develop appropriate collection strategies.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle a large volume of accounts efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of collection processes, credit risk assessment, and regulatory requirements in the lending industry.
