Human Resources Specialist Jobs

Sungai Watch is looking for an HR Specialist to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. As we continue to grow our team and expand our work of cleaning rivers throughout Indonesia, we are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of Indonesian labour law and HR best practices. We currently have a team of 95 full-time staff and we are quickly growing and want to make sure that our HR practices are as streamlined as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Support with contract writing for new hires based on company template
• Frequently assess employee performance based on whether they are accomplishing company objectives, and provide them with feedback based on their performance
• Review and revise the HR policy handbook to reflect changing economic trends, legislation, and organisational goals
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy and goals of Sungai Watch
• Maintain payroll plan and benefits program
• Maintain working attendance and holiday allowance via HR company software
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
• Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organisation
• Support the onboarding process to introduce new employees to the company, their colleagues, job responsibilities, and the organisation’s expectations
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Nurture a positive and motivating working environment
• Must ensure that the organisation complies with Indonesian employment laws, and keep up-to-date with policies and practices to maintain compliance
• Manage the recruitment and selection process of new hires, which includes writing job descriptions for recruitment, carrying out interviews, and hiring suitable job applicants

Requirement and skills:

• People oriented and results driven
• Fluent in Indonesian and English
• Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive for 5+ years
• Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
• Knowledge of Indonesian HR systems and databases
• Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
• In-depth knowledge of Indonesian labour law and HR best practices
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
