About The Head Of Corporate Banking Operations Role

This is a director level role who leads four divisions which are Cash Management, Custody/Fund Services, Trade Finance, and Loan Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Play a leading role in compiling company budget and growth strategy
• Create financial reports
• Ensure expertise and effectiveness across operating platforms
• Initiate better business practices
• Collaborate with leadership to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability
• Ensure adherence to key performance objectives to meet business and customer expectations
• Drive employees and lead performance reviews, to ensure an engaged and skilled workforce
• Execute strategies to optimise company growth
• Effectively assess and mitigate programme risks and dependencies
• Create strategies to challenge theft and stock losses, and implementing initiatives to reduce company costs

To succeed in this Head of Corporate Banking Operations role specialising in security custodian services, you will need to possess strong technical skills for the industry.

Key Requirements

• Financial services understanding is ideal
• Highly organised and agile
• Proactive and self-driven, who appreciate the challenging and dynamic business within a matrix organisation
• Understanding of technology workflow or data analytic tools e.g. Alteryx and/or Tableau is a plus
• Minimum of 18 years of relevant banking experience with knowledge and experience of working in an operations environment
• Innovative approach to work (e.g. design thinking) and continuously identifies and implements process improvements
• Structured and determined approach to work, a willingness to take ownership of problems and an effective communicator/presenter
• Deep experience in Cash Operations, Custody/Fund Services Operations, Trade Finance and Loan Operations; familiar with local regulations
• Distinct client and service orientation
• Project Management Experience e.g. AGILE method
• Able to work well, apply sound judgement and make timely decisions under pressure
• Extensive analytical skills and solution-oriented problem solving
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, profound decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and fluent in both
• A high degree of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and strong leadership capabilities including delegation skills
• Excellent communication skills and able to work in virtual global teams
• Hands-on mentality
• Proven track record in leading and motivating teams
