Job Title: COUNTRY MANAGER – INDONESIA

Industry: Supporting Industry (Mechanical Components)

Location: Indonesia, to be based in Batam Island

THE POSITION

This position of Country Manager (Indonesia), reporting to the Managing Director – Southeast Asia, is a strategic leader in driving the company’s ambitious growth plan. It is an active role in the development and implementation of Sustainable Sales Strategy and initiatives to increase market share with significant contribution towards achieving the Group’s overall goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to build a team with strong and close bonding and partnership.
  • Promoting teamwork through regular employee engagement and team building activities.
  • Identify and build strategic local/ overseas supplier partnerships to increase the market penetration in Indonesia.
  • Identify new business opportunities with new and existing customers and ensure sustainable sales growth.
  • Develop and execute effective business strategies and sales plans to drive growth.
  • Full P&L responsibilities which includes but not limited to leading and overseeing the operations within Indonesia.
  • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by optimizing processes and workflows to ensure high productivity and profitability.
  • Promote company brand and image.
  • Responsible for cost management to deliver the bottom-line profitability.
  • Set clear KPIs and objectives and conduct regular performance reviews with employees.
  • Gatekeeper to ensure 100% compliance with all local regulations, taxation, and reporting requirements
  • Analyze monthly financial results, KPIs and perform gap analysis to determine action plans for improvements if necessary.
  • Recruiting, building, and developing a high-performing team by providing guidance and coaching.
  • Being key member within the Southeast Asia Leadership team (SLT), collaborate and build strong relationship with the SLT to ensure full alignment with Group’s strategies, policies, and initiatives.

CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high performing team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Strong business acumen and a proven track record in delivering business growth and achieving all financial obligations.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics in Indonesia.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven track record as a Country Manager or in a similar capacity, preferably in the Fastener or Hardware or Supporting industry.
  • Proven P&L experience with ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
  • Fluency in spoken and written in both Bahasa and English. Chinese language will be an advantage as this position required to liaise with colleagues in HQ
