About Our Client
The client is a MNC/ leading electronics manufacturer based in Batam.

• Guarantee adherence to corporate regulations and CSR/RBA mandates regarding EHS.
• Establish and maintain the Process Safety Management Program.
• Develop and conduct necessary EHS training sessions.
• Conduct risk assessments, compliance audits, and internal evaluations.
• Take on the responsibility of fostering and maintaining a safety-oriented culture within the organization.
• Collaborate with senior management to devise and implement strategies, policies, and services aimed at enhancing employee safety and mitigating organizational risks.
• Supervise a team of EHS officers and staff members.
• Elevate the skill set of the EHS team through motivation and guidance.
• Oversee environmental monitoring, contractor permits, accident/incident investigations, and inspections.
• Disseminate EHS-related information throughout the site and to headquarters.
• Assume accountability for generating and submitting regular EHS reports to both government entities and headquarters.
• Serve as the primary EHS point of contact for government interactions, overseeing permits, documentation, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian laws and regulations in the realm of EHS.

Authorization:

• Possess the authority to halt unsafe activities within the company premises, including the production area.
• Collaborate and consult with site management and department heads on health and safety matters, promptly notifying management about safety regulation violations.
• Upon approval from the Head of Department (HOD), coordinate with internal and external entities for tasks related to EHS management.
• Offer recommendations for corrective actions and ensure diligent follow-up to rectify violations.

Conditions of Employment and Interaction:
Cooperate with project teams from various departments within the organization, closely working with other departments and attentively considering their feedback on EHS performance.
The Successful Applicant

• Possess a Degree/Diploma in Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety or a relevant field.
• Hold certification as an ISO 14001 lead auditor.
• Hold certification as an ISO 45001 lead auditor.
• Hold certification as Ahli K3 Umum (General Safety Expert).

Experience:

• Bring a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience within the Environment, Health & Safety department.

Knowledge:

• Show adeptness in chemical hazards and safety.
• Demonstrate mastery in EHS Management Systems.
• Possess a strong understanding of incident investigation procedures.
• Have substantial knowledge of safety management in the manufacturing industry.
• Exhibit expertise in employing risk assessment tools and methodologies.

Personal Attributes:

• Work effectively as a team player while also being capable of independent work.
• Communicate and present ideas proficiently in English.
• Showcase effective supervisory skills and a comprehensive understanding of industrial standards.
• Display keen observation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
