Control System And Storage Specialist - Remote

As a Control System and Storage Specialist, you will be responsible in the design approvals, workshop inspections, installation, erection, and commissioning of control systems and storage experience in developing countries (including the Pacific).
Key Responsibilities

• Support in developing specifications for the bidding documents for relevant investment projects to be pursued.
• Undertake an assessment of the existing control and storage mechanisms for the power systems on representative outer and lagoon islands in coordination with the grid connectivity specialist.
• Requirements, facilitate load management including peak shaving and energy efficiency and support high levels of renewable energy penetration on such islands, particularly for a phased transition to high levels of renewable energy on selected outer and lagoon islands.
• Conduct a market assessment to identify suitable options suitable for energy control and storage for remote island operations given the expectations to meet power
• Provide training and capacity building to the PMU and utility staff to supervise design studies and implementation for future outer islands to be selected under the project and provide related assistance.

Qualifications To Be Successful In The Role

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in designing and implementing control system and energy storage projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
