Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring that all wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions are calculated correctly and paid on time.
  2. Timekeeping and Attendance: Manage and maintain employee time and attendance records to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  3. Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
  4. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations and prepare relevant tax reports.
  5. Record Keeping: Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  6. Resolve Payroll Issues: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and issues from employees and management.
  7. Payroll Reporting: Prepare payroll reports for management, finance, and HR departments as needed.
  8. New Hire Onboarding: Assist with new employee onboarding, including payroll setup and explanation of payroll-related processes.
  9. Salary Reviews: Participate in salary review processes, including updating pay rates and adjusting wages as necessary.
  10. Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.


Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  2. Experience: 1+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
  3. Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and employment standards.
  4. Software Proficiency: Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems. Familiarity with Excel or other spreadsheet applications is a plus.
  5. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure error-free payroll processing.
  6. Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive employee information with the utmost confidentiality.
  7. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees and other departments effectively.
  8. Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to meet payroll deadlines.
  9. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve payroll-related issues efficiently.
  10. Team Player: Collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
