Commercial Management Support the Head of Operations & Commercial in developing a commercial astute and responsive business capability which delivers increased results for the business Undertake and/or lead all contractual chartering requirements for the group in Transshipment, Bulk freight, Towage and other commercial marine management activities, supporting all divisions Expand the commodity base by identifying potential customers/trades which can augment existing business models and/or develop new ones globally Accountable for developing and monitoring the commercial budget performances through the global business Drive strategies which promote value added services in conjunction with the local operations business models Proactively manage and develop strong customer relationships with current customers to facilitate top line revenue growth in all geographic areas with local teams Manage customer reviews, proposal development, contract creation and negotiation with local teams Monitor Transshipment, Freight and Import/Export markets that materially affect the operations, not limited to Bulk Freight, Transshipment, commodities, end users, customers, and competitors to regularly benchmark pricing and services and develop strategies to respond/adapt Partner effectively with the Business & Corporate Development teams supporting long term growth strategies, providing commercial freight and transshipment as well as ad-hoc projects Contract Performance Preparation of weekly/ monthly commercial updates summarizing performance, analyzing gaps and developments Implement a structured and planned contract review process and performance monitoring system for each contract and business operation Detailed monitoring of customer performance or contract issues which impact our business and develop mitigation strategies to ensure commercial health and performance Track and monitor contractual volumes and drive the marketing strategies with commercial teams Ensure the development and review of contractual templates, terms and conditions which materially affect the business, suggesting and implementing new mitigations Finance Management & Reporting Prepare and monitor budgets across all Commercial and Operations sites with local teams Oversee and finalize the monthly management reporting from businesses Undertake analysis of Financial and Operation analytics to identify areas of opportunity and/or gaps Work within operations to identify opportunities to optimize financial cost of operations, setting clear targets, budgets and strategies to monitor same Additional Information: Candidate must be local Indonesian and will be based in Jakarta Candidate must have experience in shipping and dry bulk carrier commercial
