Business Analyst - Insurance Company

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, improving processes, and supporting strategic decision-making within our insurance company. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across different departments to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and propose effective solutions. Your expertise in the insurance industry will be essential in understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by our organization.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews to elicit requirements, gather feedback, and provide guidance on process improvements. Analyze data, extract insights, and generate meaningful reports to support data-driven decision-making and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT teams, project managers, and external vendors to ensure seamless implementation of technology solutions that align with business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business units, underwriters, claims, and finance teams, to identify and document business requirements, goals, and objectives.
• Develop comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specifications to accurately capture and communicate business needs to development teams.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance to ensure developed solutions meet business needs and adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the insurance sector to provide informed recommendations and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting process analysis, and proposing solutions.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry. Strong understanding of insurance business processes, products, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Relevant insurance certifications or qualifications are advantageous.
• Knowledge of insurance industry software applications and platforms is a plus.
