We’re the regional GrabExpress team who are the custodians of the GrabExpress business. The regional team overseas, shapes and grows the Grab Express business in the region.

Get to know the Role

As a Strategy Assistant Manager team, you will be responsible for identifying high impact strategic topics, and coordinating cross-functional strategic initiatives and projects for GrabExpress. You’ll be expected to work with local/regional strategy teams, product teams and external partners to facilitate discussions.

Though you will be based with the regional team in Singapore, you will be expected to travel to local markets to better understand local needs and to help with high-impact deliverables. The exact extent of travel will depend on the travel guidance at Grab.

On top of the main Strategy role, you’ll also be playing a supporting role in supporting business development and commercial development activities with local GrabExpress commercial teams.

The ideal candidate will be one who is passionate about doing work that can contribute to a real impact to society, self-motivated, detailed oriented, passionate about technology, excellent communications as well as problem solving abilities. They are comfortable to work with an ambiguous, evolving situation, take charge and responsibility in a complex environment.

The Day-to-Day Activities

• Be a trusted regional business partner for Country Business and Operations team across different business units in the delivery of such initiatives
• Supporting planning and analysis of strategic impacts, with structured issue identification, problem solving, and breaking down complex problem spaces into executable plans
• Conducting market scans, business analysis, and industry trends to identify high impact, transformational initiatives to deliver step change improvements in growth and experience
• Willing to be hands-on in producing tangible deliverables (high level requirements, project plans, status reports, develop and & execute trainings)
• Working independently and with our product and analytics teams in order to help develop, update, and analyse product feature impacts, also comparing actual impact post-rollout to estimates

The Must-Haves

• 2-5 years of Management Consulting Experience
• Strong business analysis (functional) skills
• Handles multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Bachelors or higher in computer science, software engineering, information technology, business, or related fields
• Good analytical skills and creative problem solving skills
• Experience in logistics / supply chain-related fields are a bonus
• Strong business acumen, customer focused, team and results-oriented
• Strong Project Management skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
