R&D Senior Manager (F&B)

A rapidly expanding F&B retailer is seeking a talented R&D Senior Manager (F&B) in Jakarta. In this job, you will lead a team and be responsible for all R&D-related functions.

About The R&D Senior Manager (F&B) Role

In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the R&D strategy, delivering the highest quality service to all the customers. You will also take the lead providing direction to all R&D-related activities, including managing the central kitchen and market research.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with external research organisations, universities, and industry experts
• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• Collaborate with senior management to define the R&D roadmap and allocate resources effectively
• Develop and implement the organisation's R&D strategy, aligning it with the overall business objectives
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
• Optimise resource utilisation and prioritise projects based on strategic objectives and business needs
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Product Management, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure effective transfer of R&D outcomes into commercial products or services
• Identify research opportunities and lead the development of new products, technologies, and processes
• Ensure R&D activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and intellectual property rights
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements relevant to the organisation's field
• Implement quality control measures and document research findings, experiments, and outcomes
• Identify and evaluate potential funding sources, such as grants, partnerships, or government programmes
• Implement project management best practices and agile methodologies to drive efficient project execution
• Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to ensure team effectiveness
• Identify and prioritise research areas based on market trends, customer needs, and business goals
• Prepare and manage the R&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control
• Plan, execute, and monitor R&D projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards

To succeed in the R&D Senior Manager (F&B) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with teams, across borders and internal matrix.
