Vice President Of Finance

A local FMCG company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to support their business unit in Jakarta. In this job you will be responsible for all finance, accounting, and tax for the company along with other ad hoc issues. The company is a fast-growing tech-enabled FMCG start-up committed to providing nutritious and wholesome food options for infants and toddlers.

About The Vice President Of Finance Role

This position will be a critical role within the finance division reporting directly to the CEO. Based in Jakarta, this is a great opportunity to join the finance team of an FMCG company.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as investors, banks, and auditors, to facilitate fund-raising and financial reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business opportunities, assess monetary risks, and drive profitability
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's overall goals and objectives
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic plans
• Monitor and analyse production and distribution cosy, provide insightful analysis to support decision-making and cost optimisation efforts
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in a timely manner to support strategic financial decisions
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulations and incorporate them into the company's financial strategies
• Oversee financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and audit functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Key Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to lead and motivate a finance team
• Advanced skills in MS Excel for data analysis and modelling
• Experience in the food and beverages industry, preferably within the FMCG sector
• Passion for the company's mission and values
• Familiarity with fund-raising, investor relations, and financial reporting is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA is preferred)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Finance Accounting Manager, Financial Controller or similar role in a startup environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in using cost accounting software (i.e. Accurate)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting
