About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing fintech company based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

• Compliance Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on legal and regulatory requirements, ethical conduct, and risk management practices.
• Legal Research and Advice: Conduct legal research on emerging issues and provide timely and accurate legal advice to the executive team and relevant departments.
• Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including loan agreements, service agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts. Ensure that these agreements are in line with legal requirements and company policies.
• Corporate Governance: Provide guidance on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and corporate governance standards.
• Intellectual Property: Oversee the protection and management of the company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Take appropriate measures to safeguard the company's intellectual property assets.
• Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Manage legal disputes and litigation matters involving the company. Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed to effectively represent the company's interests and seek favorable outcomes.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess legal risks associated with the company's activities. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks and protect the company's interests.
• Regulatory Affairs: Engage with regulatory authorities, including the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and maintain a strong understanding of their requirements and expectations. Proactively manage regulatory relationships and address any compliance issues that may arise.
• Legal Compliance: Stay up to date with the laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to the peer-to-peer lending industry in Indonesia. Ensure that the company's operations and practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.

The Successful Applicant

• Law degree from a reputable university; additional qualifications such as an LLM or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Indonesian.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to provide practical, commercially-focused legal advice.
• Exposure in P2P Lending, E-Wallet/E-Money and licensing processes.
• Exposure in M&A and Capital Market strategic transactions.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian financial services laws and regulations, particularly those related to peer-to-peer lending.
• Proven experience in handling complex legal matters, including contracts, intellectual property, compliance, and litigation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a reputable law firm or as in-house legal counsel, preferably in the financial services sector.
• Admission to the Indonesian Bar Association and in good standing.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
