Job Description

Hello, my client, Hotel 4 Stars, is currently looking for an HR Manager located in Jakarta Pusat.


Responsibilities:

The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Human Resources Department within the hotel, including the implementation and administration of personnel policies, practices, and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide professional advisory and executive support services to the General Manager to assist in meeting the establishment's strategic goals.
  2. Participate in the development and implementation of Human Resource policies for the establishment.
  3. Liaise with Department Heads and make recommendations regarding Human Resource issues, including staffing levels.
  4. Design, implement, and review training programs to meet specific departmental needs.
  5. Manage training and development activities, including training needs analysis and program evaluations.
  6. Analyze staff turnover and sick leave with the aim of implementing strategies for reduction.
  7. Oversee compliance with Federal and State Employment Legislation, Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Harassment Policy, and Industrial Awards.
  8. Develop recruitment strategies and oversee the efficient and timely hiring of all associates, ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are followed.
  9. Conduct the annual Employee Satisfaction Survey.
  10. Implement and evaluate an effective Performance Appraisal System in line with corporate guidelines.
  11. Participate in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plans.
  12. Oversee the effective administration of personnel records and files.
  13. Develop and administer Corporate and Hotel Human Resource Policies.
  14. Develop and administer employee recognition programs.
  15. Oversee effective workplace injury management, ensuring rapid return-to-work programs are in place for all associates.
  16. Develop and implement detailed Human Resources plans to support business objectives.
  17. Liaise with the Executive Committee regarding potential opportunities and threats to proactively address changes in the Hotel’s environment.
  18. Attend to all industrial relation matters, including Award interpretation, union negotiations, and implementation of restructuring.
  19. Represent the employer’s interests in all employment-related legal proceedings and industrial disputes.
  20. Develop Department Heads to improve their own Human Resources Management practices within their areas.
  21. Monitor the maintenance of current s, salary grades, and benefit packages.
  22. Conduct Human Resources Department development and performance reviews, identifying key personnel for further development and structured career pathing.
  23. Implement and maintain Human Resources Department training systems to ensure that associates have the necessary framework and skills to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
  24. Prepare work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations, and guidelines of the appropriate industrial legislation.
  25. Oversee the selection and appointment of new associates within the Human Resources Department.
  26. Conduct regular staff meetings to keep all associates informed.
  27. Participate in the Hotel’s "Executive on Duty" program.
  28. Ensure compliance with legislated health and safety requirements within the workplace.
  29. Comply with all Corporate and Hotel Standards and Procedures.
  30. Promote by example the principles of "The Power of Service".
  31. Actively promote a work environment that cares for guests and associates alike.
  32. Implement opportunities for quality Team Building.
  33. Ensure that all associates comply with grooming and uniform standards.
  34. Oversee the operation of the Payroll Office, ensuring excellent service to associates and appropriate control and management mechanisms are in place and being utilized appropriately.
  35. Implement and manage an effective and fair grievance procedure in line with appropriate legislation.
