Head Of Trading Operations

The Head of Trading is responsible for planning the work of the Operational Team and monitoring their performance. And supports all lines of business of PT Kudeungoe Sugata Indonesia (Sugata), an affiliate of Koltiva AG, Switzerland.

• Set up and establish robust KoltiTrade operations, ensuring seamless coordination between various stakeholders from Seed (agri-Input Manufacturer) and Table (Processing, manufacturing, and Retail of consumer products).
• Drive the successful implementation of KoltiPay (responsible finance, savings, ePayments, and loans) and KoltiSkills (producer engagement, adoption observations, farm development plans, and establishment of climate neutral supply chains), ensuring proper integration and functionality within Sugata's operations.
• Collaborate with the CSO/BD Department to ensure the development and customization of KoltiTrace and KoltiPay applications to align with Sugata's specific requirements.
• Lead the adoption and utilization of our Koltiva Software Applications (KoltiTrace MIS and KoltiTrace ERP) and oversee its implementation and usage within Sugata.
• Formulate Kudeungoe Sugata Indonesia’s strategy and objective.
• Supervise a team consisting of a Sourcing and post-harvest processing team, Inclusive Finance and Distribution, and General Administration, providing guidance and support to maximize their performance.
• Coordinate with project implementation to align on-ground activities for KoltiSkills with project implementation teams, fostering efficient execution and delivery.
• Define the roles of the entire Sugata Team and the performance measurement.
• Be the role model for embodying Sugata’s vision, mission, and values.
• Oversee the loans program provided to farmers, overseeing the distribution of agricultural inputs and sourcing crops from farmers to be sold in sustainable markets.

• Passionate about the customers and demonstrated experience building relationships with them.
• Ability to effectively lead and motivate teams across various functional roles.
• Possess extensive experience and the ability to handle field operations and the team.
• Data-driven method for decision-making using KPIs and metrics
• 15+ years of experience in leadership roles at major trading companies and start-ups.
• Past track record of recruiting and developing a high-performing operational team.
• Proven record of clear communications with C-suite stakeholders and across cross-functional teams.
• Proven change agent and a strong strategic thinker.
• Possess knowledge of several commodities (Agri-Inputs, Cocoa, Coffee, etc.) and the related warehousing and distribution processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong budgeting and team-leading abilities, never-ending endeavor to make operations better.
• Experience leading deeply on product plans and aligning business strategy and its delivery.
• Experience interpreting customer needs and market trends.
