Head Of Special Projects | Agritech

Our portfolio company is an active leader in agriculture innovation with focus on helping farmers all across Indonesia manage their farms better and improve the quality of fresh produce for all consumers across the nation. They are currently seeking a Head of Special Projects who will lead and drive strategic initiatives and play a pivotal role in empowering innovation and growth within the organization.

As the Head of Special Projects, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including research and development, operations, sales, and marketing, to spearhead innovative projects, foster business growth, and deliver exceptional value to our customers. This position requires a strong background in fresh industry, solid business acumen, passion for cutting-edge technology, and a proven track record in strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

• Collaborate with the executive team to align special projects with the company's overall goals and growth strategy
• Develop and execute the strategic vision for the special projects portfolio
• Identify market trends, industry disruptions, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage

Business Unit Leadership:

• Drive the development and enhancement of offerings, leveraging technology, data analytics, and sustainable practices to meet evolving customer needs
• Provide strategic direction and ensure successful execution of projects, financial performance, and customer satisfaction
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and progress

Supply Management:

• Implement robust quality control processes to guarantee the delivery of superior products and services
• Ensure an efficient and reliable supply chain, minimizing costs and disruptions, while maintaining high-quality standards
• Optimize the supply operations, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and relationships with farmers and suppliers

Innovation and Research:

• Stay abreast of advancements in agritech, including precision farming, automation, remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and data analytics
• Drive a culture of innovation within the organization, fostering creativity, research, and experimentation
• Explore strategic partnerships, collaborations, and investment opportunities to leverage external expertise and accelerate innovation

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with R&D, operations, marketing, and sales teams to align special projects with overall business objectives
• Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, industry experts, and research institutions to drive collaboration and co-creation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in agriculture, engineering, business administration, or a related field. An MBA is a plus
• Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in agritech, such as precision farming, IoT, robotics, and sustainable farming practices will be a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in executing complex projects and driving transformative change
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify market opportunities and deliver sustainable growth
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, leveraging data-driven insights to make informed decisions
• Deep knowledge and understanding of fresh and agritech industry, including agriculture practices, crop production, and supply chain management will be a plus
• Proven experience in a strategic leadership role within fresh or agritech industry, with a focus on special projects, innovation, or commercial and business development
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
