Location: Full remote working. Jakarta, Indonesia based.

Role Description: Reports to the Regional Investigations Manager, APAC

Candidates must be self-starters with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver professional results on short deadlines. They should have strong analytical & organization skills with attention to detail and able to communicate fluently in English, orally and in writing. Advanced work ethic and creative problem-solving skills, including the ability to work well with minimal supervision and guidance, are essential.

We require a team player who has the utmost moral and ethical character to support the department as well as the global team to implement sound strategies that will benefit the motion picture industry today and for the future.

Local travel and potentially international will be required to a limited extent.

Key Responsibilities

• Any other duties as assigned.
• Assist Regional Operations to maintain effective collaborative relationships with keyintermediaries, including hosting service providers, payment processors, advertising entities, domain name registrars and social networks.
• Assist Regional Operations to build effective relationships with partners from local commercial entities, and video industry counterparts.
• Assist Regional Operations to maintain regular liaison with law enforcement divisions and to stay abreast of content protection developments andmanage enforcement actions where desirable.
• Present, both orally and in writing, well-reasoned and comprehensive reportsto Regional Operations, its member studios, legal teams, and external stakeholders including law enforcement.
• Be familiar with relevant law enforcement processes and procedures and support criminal referral strategies in collaboration with Regional Operations.
• Conduct complex global and local investigations of Internet targets in cooperation with Regional Operations ; notably the development and execution of investigative tactics to identify entities engaging in copyright infringement.

The Ideal Candidate

• Has experience conducting technical Internet investigations concerning websites involving direct download, streaming video and peer-to-peer protocols. Experience in related fields such as online advertising or follow-the-money are a plus.
• Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, Information Security or equivalent in experience.
• Has creative problem solving skills, including the ability to work well with minimal supervision and guidance.
• Familiar with investigative tools such as WHOIS, (reverse) DNS lookups, traceroute and packet capture analysis etc.
• The role requires fluency in English and Indonesian (Bahasa). Additional languages are a plus.
• Has strong computer skills and fluency in all core MS software products.
• Strong working knowledge of the relationships between ISPs, domain names,WHOIS, IP addresses, hosting providers, and internet governance overall.
• Anti-piracy experience is preferred.
• Must possess the highest level of work ethic and integrity, with the ability to maintain confidential information.
• Has a current understanding of a range of online piracy and file sharing issues.
• Ability to communicate with users of all levels of experience; to work creatively, quickly, and effectively to produce results amidst shifting priorities.
