About The Head Of Information Security Role

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the cybersecurity programme. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data. This is a critical role in ensuring the trust and security of our platform and maintaining our customers' confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security awareness training and education programs to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness among employees
• Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness through the development of Information Security Strategy and Roadmap, ensuring it is aligned with business goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, legal, and compliance, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to cybersecurity
• Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses
• Lead a team of cybersecurity professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Represent the company in security-related discussions with customers, partners, and regulatory bodies
• Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and roadmap for the organisation
• Establish incident response and disaster recovery plans, coordinating and leading efforts to respond to and recover from security incidents
• Stay updated on the latest cyber threats, attack vectors, and industry best practices to proactively mitigate risks
• Establish a solid and dynamic Information Security team
• Design and implement robust security policies, procedures, and standards to protect our systems, networks, and sensitive information
• Build strong partnerships with external vendors, consultants, and industry peers to leverage their expertise and stay ahead of emerging threats
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of our security controls and infrastructure, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation measures

To succeed in this role, you should have extensive knowledge in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures

Key Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures
• Expertise in conducting security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing
• Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and DevSecOps methodologies
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and experience securing cloud-based environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of cybersecurity professionals
• In-depth knowledge of network and system security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption, etc.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the cybersecurity field, with a focus on enterprise-level security
