COMPLIANCE MANAGER

Job role

Implements and administrates an effective Corporate Compliance Management Program. The officer is able to manage and to guarantee the compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations promulgated by various regulatory as well as maintaining all internal policies and procedures.

Main responsibilities

• Identifying risk and internal control weaknesses, and proposing solutions.
• Ability to independently conduct research on consumer and banking, credit rating laws and regulations and provide interpretations or clarifications to management.
• Assisting the duties of the President Director and the Board of Commissioners in conducting supervision.
• Handle personal data related queries or complaints.
• Scheduling compliance audits and reports results of these audits.
• Support the review and develop of policies & processes for handling personal data in compliance with data privacy & protection laws.
• Oversee data privacy compliance.
• Strong understanding of laws and regulations with applied experience in compliance.
• Socialize any new regulation or policy that impact the Company’s day-to-day operation.
• Manage reputational risk that can arise from data protection mistakes.
• Document and manage all compliance activities within the Company.
• Perform any other tasks in relation to compliance as set forth in the Company’s articles of associations, policies, regulations and relevant institutions’ policies as well as prevailing laws and regulations.
• Assist any matters within the Legal and Compliance Department.
• Coordinate with any government institutions and other relevant parties.
• Plans, coordinates, and conducts compliance monitoring and internal reviews.
• Safeguard existing data assets and protect corporate reputation.

Position Qualifications

Education:

• Knowledge in data protection & IT protection desired (IT)
• Should be creative and innovation in solving problems.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Management Information Systems, Information Management or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Management Engineering, Legal Management or Bachelor of Law of Juris Doctor (JD)
• Able to create processes & policies and conduct risk assessment exercise (Audit & Compliance)
• Competencies/Skills Requirements:
• English proficiency.
• Knowledge with privacy laws and data protection laws desired (Legal)
• Strong team player with prover success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Behavioural Requirements:
• Strong interpersonal skill
