About the Company

GoGrail is the first to systemize and digitize co-retailing processes in Indonesia allowing brands to distribute their products through a curated network of retailers while helping brands manage the end-to-end operation. As a newly born venture, we are pleased to have seen the positive responses from our product validation initiatives and are committed to striving for growth to serve the many needs of brand owners in the retail space.


GoGrail currently focuses its operation on beauty & personal care space targeting local brand owners who produce cosmetics, skincare and personal care products to partner up with local retail store owners such as salon, barbershop, spa, wax studio, skin clinics, etc.

What We Would Like to Solve

Distributing products offline by sharing a retail space with retailers (“co-retailing") is not a new concept in Indonesia. As a matter of fact, co-retailing provides a cheaper distribution solution especially for emerging brand owners to introduce new products and acquire new customers as compared to distributing via traditional routes such as modern retail chains or flagship stores. However, the current practice is still fragmented, inefficient and operationally burdensome as brand owners still need to manually approach retailers individually, negotiate different commercial terms and allocate resources to monitor sales & inventory. GoGrail addresses these bottlenecks by providing systemized and digitized solutions allowing brand owners to scale faster with minimal capital and operational complexity.


About the Role

We are currently looking for a Co-founder who will also fill in the role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead partnership and demand generation activities including but not limited to brand & retailer store acquisition & retention, brand strategy, digital campaign, customer acquisition, retention & reactivation and promo set-up - all of which are pivotal to the company’s growth.


As the CCO of a young venture, this position requires a full-time role to fully realize the company’s potential as there is always something to focus on for the better. Hence, you must be ready to become a fully dedicated business leader with prior extensive strategy / business development / marketing experiences who is comfortable in proactively formulating and testing new ideas with limited resources in terms of budget and manpower. From day 1, you will be working closely with the CEO and other co-founder(s) to bring GoGrail to the next level.

You will also be empowered to build your team and take charge starting from recruiting and coaching as we strive to create positive, meaningful experiences for all individuals who choose to spend their career journey with us at GoGrail. Finally, your knowledge or experience in fundraising would be a significant bonus to the team, which would help GoGrail to scale up faster.


While it is ideal to have prior experiences as a founder/co-founder, it is not a prerequisite but you must be able to quickly transition from a corporate to entrepreneurial mindset. Additionally, you share the same dream to be an entrepreneur and co-own a company with a vision aligned with the rest of the co-founders.


Please apply only if you can commit full-time (No corporate work), live in Jabodetabek area and are open to bootstrapping (for the next 3-6 months before external funding is raised). These are strict prerequisites for the time being.


Responsibility

  • Initiate programs such as events, webinars, communities and other relevant mediums to increase brand awareness
  • Analyze partner (brand & retail store) and end-customer leads funnel periodically, identify pain points and propose recommendations for improvements
  • Co-lead with CEO and other cofounder(s) on strategizing and executing fundraising activities when needed
  • Propose and justify budgets while ensuring effectiveness and efficiency in spending
  • Assign and evaluate success metrics for every partnership and marketing campaign
  • Oversee the creation of marketing contents in both online and offline channels
  • Lead end-to-end partner acquisition for both product brand owners and retailers from proposal making, sourcing, contract drafting, commercial negotiation and deals monitoring
  • Hire and provide coaching to direct reports
  • Formulate marketing and brand strategies that highlight value proposition offerings for both prospective brand owners, retailers and end-customers
  • Co-develop topline targets in terms of GTV & revenue including other relevant contributing metrics together with the leadership team
  • Conduct surveys to relevant stakeholders to validate any hypothesis made
  • Collaborate with other leaders and internal stakeholders while bringing positive energy to the group
  • Document and implement SOPs
  • Work together with external parties as needed that support marketing and business development activities
  • Evaluate existing systems in place and propose technologies to support activities
  • Design, implement and evaluate promotional set-ups


Qualification

  • Comfortable with having no salary payout until a predetermined stage (e.g. fund raised)
  • Indonesian citizen
  • Comfortable working with limited resources (budget & manpower)
  • Have a career end-goal as entrepreneur
  • Based in Jabodetabek, Indonesia
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Fluency in English & Indonesian
  • Committed to becoming a full-time Co-Founder
  • At least 5 years of professional experiences with a minimum 3 years of B2B partnership/marketing experiences
  • Open to bootstrapping for the next 3-6 months to continue our pilot program to further validate product-market fit to get us ready for fundraising in exchange for equity

Bonus:

  • Ex founder / co-founder in the retail space
  • Experience with social media paid-ads as well as other marketing mediums (e.g. KOL activation)
  • Have networks in the beauty & personal care space (e.g. salon, barbershop, spa, skin clinics)
  • Experience working in start-up and/or management consulting
  • Experience with CRM & SEO tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Adwords, etc)

GoGrali’s current co-founders are made up of young and energetic individuals in their 30s with +9 years of professional experiences who now aspire to have success stories to tell as entrepreneurs. The current team has a mix of professional backgrounds in retail, management consulting and tech-startup with diverse functional competencies incl. growth, operation and finance that complement one another. We turn ideas into actions by working based on targets and deadlines with clear accountabilities. For us, this has been our very young attempt starting out a venture that we strongly believe has a lot of potential. We enjoy doing experiments, creating hypotheses, making tons of mistakes, learning from them and seeking for improvements, always! While we are comfortable working in a hustle environment and are hungry to make things work for the better, we know that there is life outside of professional work. Thus, we pride ourselves for being accommodating to one another as we respect all individuals at GoGrail to set aside enough time for their personal needs as more of than not, they matter the most.


In short, we are just ordinary people who have not (yet) made it to the Forbes list and are new to the entrepreneurial journey. While we are super hungry and committed to seeing this venture blossom, we believe that the value of our getting connected, working together and trying to make it as a team is much more than whatever the outcome will tell.
