Chief Financial Officer | Portfolio

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our portfolio companies. This role involves providing expert financial analysis, ensuring accuracy of financial statements, and contributing to the strategic financial decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on the implementation of effective and efficient financial operations methods, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting processes, systems, and controls to drive accuracy, transparency, and accountability
• Act as an approachable and knowledgeable advisor to both internal and portfolio company teams on matters related to financial operations, strategies, and best practices
• Collaborate closely with the Investment team and Finance teams of the portfolio companies to analyze financial data and assess the accuracy of financial statements
• Conduct in-depth reviews to identify potential errors in financial statements and balance sheet
• Demonstrate a keen understanding of commercial dynamics across various industries within Alpha JWC's portfolio companies to provide informed financial insights and recommendations

Qualifications:

• Adept at understanding the commercial aspects of various industries and translating financial insights into actionable business strategies
• Strong analytical acumen and ability to identify discrepancies and inaccuracies in financial statements
• Proficiency in financial software, tools, and platforms, with a proactive attitude toward staying updated on industry trends
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred
• Proven track record of at least 10 years of relevant experience in finance leadership roles, preferably with exposure to venture capital, private equity, or high-growth startup environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Experience in either Consumer Goods or SaaS company would be an advantage
• Demonstrated humility, firmness, and approachability, fostering an environment of collaboration and open communication
