WWF-Indonesia, an independent national conservation organization, is part of a global network of WWF. WWF-ID is seeking the best candidate for the position of Chief Conservation Officer. This position will be based in Jakarta, and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

The Chief Conservation Officer is responsible for the delivery of transformational and lasting conservation impact by building and leading WWF-Indonesia’s Conservation Program and ensuring coherent integration of thematic and geographical programs as presented in the Strategic Plan. He/she provides advice to the CEO on pertinent conservation issues in the country. He/she leads the strategic and tactical direction of WWF-Indonesia’s conservation agenda in partnership with key international, governmental, and local partners. He/she will engage with communities and civil society to support them in taking ownership of the future of natural capital management. 
Working closely with the CEO, he/she supports the engagement with multilateral and bilateral institutions to influence policies around key conservation issues. He/she also mediates the WWF network’s engagement (through Practices) to maintain the alignment of WWF-Indonesia's critical contributions to the WWF Global Goals. He/she is a member of the WWF-Indonesia Management team and works cooperatively with the Global Conservation team of WWF Network in providing strategic leadership in delivering highly effective conservation results by creating and putting into action a strategic, pertinent, and innovative plan for the organization that will effectively contribute to the conservation of biodiversity in Indonesia and is in line with WWF practices and global conservation. 
The Chief Conservation Officer will closely coordinate with Program Directors in developing an integrated Conservation Strategy, Program, and Action Plan. Ensure strategic integration of the four pillars (conservation management, sustainable land/sea use planning, sector reform, and sustainable financing) in all programs, and directly lobby policymakers at the national and provincial level (government officials, politicians, public figures, NGO leaders, corporate leaders). 
She/he is also responsible for the overall development and implementation of the WWF-Indonesia Strategic Plan through strategic conservation approaches and leading all conservation programs. The scope of implementation range from identifying priority projects, and developing a high-impact conservation program,  to assessing new opportunities to enhance the conservation goals in Indonesia, ensuring focus on the delivery of WWF-Indonesia’s strategic and programmatic outcomes, and ensuring the targets and milestones of conservation program are in line with WWF Practices and the global conservation priorities.
