The Opportunity:


We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Consultant, Diversity Equity and Inclusion. This role is based in our Bangkok office as part of the Agoda Talent Business Partners team. We are a team of professionals who provide systems to scale, measure, and exchange capability development, without taking ownership away from employees and their managers. This role has a global reach. 


The objective of this role is understanding and addressing complex organizational challenges with a view to refining and executing the DEI strategy at Agoda. You will be responsible for developing a consciously inclusive culture across Agoda.


 This role allows for unbridled curiosity towards the functioning of the organization and how we can continuously improve. We think about developing capability and creating an inclusive culture in broad terms beyond traditional learning. We consider all factors that impact employee and team performance, including team diversity and culture, and believe successful solutions address all relevant aspects. 


You will partner with senior managers and be the subject matter expert for program design, development, and implementation. You will report progress and insights to our senior management.  Curiosity, self-awareness, and the ability to ask great questions and listen deeply are critical to successful engagement with stakeholders. 


This role is based in Bangkok, Thailand and relocation is supported.


In this Role, you’ll get to:


  • Develop program content, define clear outcomes that will both serve as guideposts for evaluation of program impact, and will inform program design and prioritization with stakeholders
  • Advise on organizational strategies, e.g. use data insights to inform strategy, drive design, and track and measure impact of initiatives and programs
  • Build strong relationships across the organization with DEI Council members, ERG leaders to ensure DEI initiatives are received well
  • Advise and support Agoda Employee Resource Groups, work with ERG leaders to communicate and update operating guidelines, focusing on employee engagement and clear business outcomes
  • Employ innovative scalable capability building methods that go beyond traditional learning, including role and organizational design, process and tools improvement, various learning modalities, etc
  • Update existing intranet resources pertaining to DEI pages

  • Analyze patterns in organizational demographics relating to hiring, performance, progression and relate to practices, behavior, and culture that drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement


What you’ll Need to Succeed:


  • Undergraduate degree from a top university expected; advanced degrees welcome
  • Facilitating and coaching with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • The capacity to make decisions and take action, managing risk and uncertainty
  • Flexibility and a sense of humor are a must
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity
  • Ability to bring business perspectives and facilitate outcomes is more important than experience in HR roles
  • Excellent judgement, self-motivated, curious and trustworthy
  • Strong problem-solving and ability to work with numbers
  • Outstanding organization skills and independent project management skills; successful execution of DEI initiatives from start to finish; ability to operationalize and scale programs
  • We are not looking for someone who manages outsourced training or someone without program design capability
  • A strong understanding of organizations and system dynamics with a view to facilitating change at scale
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic or management consulting or significant internal consulting experience in large organization


It’s Great if you have:


  • Experience working with, or in support of diverse communities
  • Familiarity with organizational and instructional design
  • Demonstrated change management experience in areas other than HR
