You will be part of the Indonesia cluster Service Sales team dedicated to sell aftermarket offerings. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in a multinational organization and in an environment involving different cultures and different challenges. Your base will our FLSmidth office in Jakarta.


Your Responsibilities


Establishing strong customer relations and customer support


Specifically, Your Tasks Will Include


The position as Area Sales Manager, Service Sales is responsible for driving the sales of spare parts, wear parts and services to the aftermarket cement industry in Indonesia country. This is an individual contributor role in a team-leading role that will be coordinating and administrating the in-country service sales team. The position reports directly to the Head of Indonesia Cluster.


  • Maintain strong relations with our existing customer base and build up solid ties with new potential customers. Expected at least 50% of time spent on customer visits, eagerness to travel essentiel.
  • For Indonesia country, hands-on selling and daily planning, coordination and executing sales activities in close contact with the customers, Service Sales team in country and cluster, and Capital Sales colleagues.
  • Participate in preparation of technical and commercial proposals which includes communicating client requirements effectively to the organization and ensure the right technical solutions as well as price setting.
  • Keep abreast of industry’s market trends and best practices
  • Forecast sales opportunities, develop and implement sales strategies to ensure goals and targets are met


What You Bring


Collaboration skills, Customer focus and cement experience


  • You may have a technical background – perhaps an Engineering degree (Mechanical/Chemical) and you have an international mindset and cultural understanding.
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills, interpersonal communication skills and negotiation skills along with a customer focused mindset
  • Knowledge of FLSmidth equipment an advantage and in-depth knowledge of the industry and its current event
  • Strong oral and written communication skills both in Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • You have a minimum of 8 years experience from the cement industry or related businesses with strong sales background
  • Has the ability to understand customer needs and translate these into successful acquisitions
