About the role

We are currently working with a leading Global Renewable Energy Investment company that owns various Renewable Energy projects around the world as well as a number of other countries in the APAC region especially in Wind and Solar.

Job Summary:

One of our clients, a leading global renewable development company globally which has offices in Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Currently, They are managing about 3,4 GW projects in PPA, Operational, and Construction around the world. Currently, they are making significant investments in New Zealand, Australia in BESS and Solar.

This role is located in Sydney, and you will be working with a strong team in renewable focus on Solar , BESS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the identification, assessment, and acquisition of new solar project opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and due diligence for potential projects.
• Navigate permitting, regulatory, and compliance processes to ensure projects adhere to local and national regulations.
• Oversee the negotiation of power purchase agreements (PPAs), interconnection agreements, and other project-related contracts.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, utilities, and community partners.
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project execution.
• Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and market developments to identify innovative project opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and data analysis.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project dynamics.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related disciplines (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering solar projects from inception to completion.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on solar energy.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy policies, regulations, and permitting processes.
• Exceptional project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
