Project Engineer (Wind And Solar)

Essential Job Role:

• Providing technical support from development stage until construction phase by assessing the technical risks and optimising the project especially on the resource estimation aspect.

Essential Job Functions:

• Conducting linear/WAsP modelling (wind) and PVSyst modelling (solar) as well as the integration and justification of technical losses and uncertainty.
• Verification of the site condition in liaison with the OEM/manufacturers.
• Supporting the development and/or improvement of the existing assets.
• Assessing the technical feasibility of the wind and solar project.
• Producing proper relevant maps, reports, and presentations.
• Working in collaboration with the team to support the projects in required capacity.
• Assessing and analysing measurement data from both met mast and remote sensing devices (e.g., SODAR/LIDAR).
• Managing and reviewing the external technical studies conducted by third party.
• Mapping the potential resources in the context of greenfield development.
• Conducting technical iteration along project phases.
• Designing and maintaining the quality of wind monitoring campaign, including procurement of the required sensors.
• Reviewing the specification and design proposed by OEM and/or contractors.
• Identifying and assessing the terrain characteristics, constraint, environmental and consequently land availability aspect during development and the process of acquisition.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in one or more of the following software packages:
• Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university and at least 3 years of experience in the similar job description;

• > Solar Software: PVSyst; (Homer is a plus)
• > Competence in Python or Matlab or Macro are added value.
• > GIS Software (CAD is a plus)
• > Wind Software: WindPro/Windographer/Openwind/WAsP/WindFarmer
• > Microsoft Office

• Proficient English & Bahasa Indonesia (Speaking, Writing, Reading).
• Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
• Willing to learn and improve.
• Possessing good understanding of IEC standard, especially IEC 61400-12-1.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage personnel.
• Willing to travel to site for site assessment, survey/visit, and measurement maintenance.
• Demonstrate excellence, effective and ethical interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the necessary skills to interface with co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors and subcontractors and other stakeholders.
