[About the job]


Begawan is currently looking for an exceptional Partnership Officer who is passionate about farming, conservation, and education and can reach the foundation’s partnership and sales target. Your primary responsibility will be to manage our guest visit experience programs. This will involve overseeing communication, customisation, and management of tourism experiences at the foundation, as well as improving engagement with other organisation for potential partnership.

  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations about the foundation, programs, products, and services.
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of a range of offline & online partnership and sales strategies for the foundation, programs, products, and services for publicity.
  • Responsible for building communication and relationship with clients and potential clients to promote the foundation, programs, products, and services.
  • Coordinate with other team members within the foundation to optimise partnership and sales efforts.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the tourism experience programs for guest visit and other possible partnership at the foundation.
  • We expect the Partnership Officer to work full-time (100%) in our Begawan office in Banjar Pengaji, Melinggih Kelod, Payangan, North of Ubud, Bali.
  • Assist with guest visits to Begawan.
  • Assist the team in other tasks as they emerge.

  • Build strong relationships with external parties, expand Begawan’s network, and drive the foundation’s brand awareness.
  • Monitor different media platforms for potential collaboration opportunities and clients for the foundation’s exposure, products, and services.
  • This position is for Indonesian citizens only.
  • Organise partnership communications events such as campaigns, exhibitions, and open days.


[Responsibilities for The Experience Programs ]

  • Identifying the best business model for Community Based Tourism for the Begawan.
  • Engaging domestic and international schools in Indonesia.
  • Identifying potential product/package tours to develop, conducting desk research to
  • Supporting evaluation for marketing, website, and any media related to Begawan.
  • Expectations, and potential growth projections.
  • Running trial products.
  • Benchmark these products, and setting final prices.
  • Conducting Local Guide Training and recruitment once more guests are coming for
  • Trainers, and recruiting the community.
  • Engaging Destination Management Companies (DMCs) with the segmented products
  • Creating final itineraries for potential clients.
  • Collecting baseline data on Community Based Tourism in Begawan, including existing products (such as natural rice farming, permaculture farming, learning centre, and starling conservation), existing beneficiaries, and conducting workshops for LocalSatisfaction Surveys, Sustainable Destination Assessments, and baseline data on beneficiaries.
  • Selling products to existing partners that are engaged (NGOs, DMCs, TO, and Schools).
  • Evaluations of progress.
  • Monitoring monthly revenue and planning for monthly target revenue.
  • Conduct cooking class workshops and village assessments for homestays to engage
  • Assisting the team in establishing an ecosystem to support the project as a service
  • Conducting market research on demand for the developed products.
  • The community in hosting clients for tours of Balinese authentic living.
  • Monitoring the implementation of operations and sales and conducting monthly
  • Provider, including guiding the guest experience programs.

[Qualifications]

  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships and exceeding
  • Sales quotas.
  • Experience in partnership communication both offline and online.

  • Degree is preferable.
  • Minimum three years of tourism working experience.
  • An Indonesian national.
  • Excellent capacity to manage uncertainties at work and simultaneously undertake
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Indonesian.
  • Minimum bachelor’s in Tourism, Sales, Business or other relevant fields. Master’s
  • Understand and have experience in sustainability programs, regenerative farming,
  • Strong time management, organisational skills, and follow-through.
  • Experience working in NGOs and foundations is an advantage.
  • A can-do and collaborative mindset. Comfortable with the ambiguities and demands
  • Of a rapidly evolving work environment, particularly in a start-up like a workplace.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media literacy is a must.
