Position Summary
Describe the primary purpose and function of this job.
Reporting to Sales Manager to achieve sales KPIs. Work as a team player to increase sales revenue by continually engaging with a target list of accounts.
Serves customers through phone calls or emails by identifying their needs, engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
Identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of sales process.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and grow territory: Actively research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities.
Conducting Sales Activities: An inside sales Engineer is responsible for generating leads, making cold calls, responding to customer inquiries, and closing deals.
Identifying Customer Needs: An inside sales Engineer should be able to identify the customer's needs and offer solutions to meet those needs
Develop and maintain relationship with new and current customer: Maintain communication with new and current customers through cold calling and networking by understanding customer needs and providing excellent services.
Conducting Product Demonstrations: An inside sales Engineer should be able to demonstrate products and services to customers and answer any questions they may have.
Maintaining Sales Records: An inside sales Engineer should keep track of all sales activities, including customer information, sales data, and other relevant information in CRM (HubSpot) on a daily basis.
Collaborating: An inside sales Engineer should work closely with other members of the Sales & Marketing Team and Operation Team to provide solutions to the customer and any other jobs assigned.
Participating: An inside sales Engineer should participate in company U to learn and upgrade on products knowledge and participate in sales training programs to enhance their knowledge and skills and stay up to date on the latest sales techniques and trends.
Meeting Sales Targets: An inside sales Engineer should work towards achieving their sales targets by following a structured sales process and continuously improving their sales techniques
Providing Sales Reports: An inside sales Engineer should provide regular reports to their sales manager, detailing their sales activities and progress towards meeting their sales target such as monitoring the result, pipelines and activities.
Requirements
  • Goal-oriented: Inside sales representatives must be goal-oriented and able to work towards achieving sales targets.
  • Product knowledge: Inside sales representatives must be familiar with the products or services they are selling and be able to answer questions about them.
  • Team player: Inside sales representatives must be able to work well in a team and collaborate with other sales representatives to achieve team sales goals.
  • Sales experience: Experience in sales is a plus, as it will help the inside sales representative understand the sales process and make effective pitches to potential clients (minimum 2 years).
  • Time management skills: Inside sales representatives must be able to manage their time effectively and work efficiently to meet sales targets.
  • Persistence: Inside sales representatives must be persistent and able to handle rejection well, as they will face rejection on a daily basis.
  • Customer service skills: Inside sales representatives must be able to address customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills: An inside sales representative must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with potential clients over the phone, email, or other communication channels.
  • Bachelor's degree: Engineer
  • Computer skills: Inside sales representatives must be proficient in using computer programs and software, as they will need to enter data and manage customer information.
