Job Description

: Human Capital Specialist (Permanent Position with Temporary Reception and GA Coverage)


We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Human Capital Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis. The selected candidate will play a vital role in our recruitment efforts while also providing temporary coverage for reception and general administrative (GA) duties during a colleague's maternity leave.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to set qualification criteria for future employees
  • Build and report on quarterly and annual hiring plans
  • Design, distribute and measure the results of candidate experience surveys
  • Network with potential hires through professional groups on social media and during events
  • Maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings
  • Interview candidates in-person for a wide range of roles (junior, senior and executive)
  • Create and publish job ads in various portals
  • Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods
  • Screen resumes and job applications
  • Maintain employee engagement event
  • Track hiring metrics including time-to-hire, time-to-fill and source of hire


Temporary Reception and GA Coverage:

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Support the GA team with various tasks as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Answer and redirect phone calls and inquiries to the appropriate individuals.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments.
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provide temporary coverage for reception and general administrative (GA) duties during a colleague's maternity leave.


Requirements and skills:

  • Knowledge of sourcing techniques on social media and niche professional websites like LinkedIn, Facebook, Github and Stack Overflow
  • Experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Recruiter or similar role
  • BSc in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good written and verbal communications skills


Note: This is a permanent position with the additional responsibility of temporary reception and GA coverage. The temporary coverage period for reception and GA duties will be in effect until the colleague's maternity leave concludes or for approximately three months.
