Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO:


The Head of Sales (HOS) is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the Sales function at Topgolf South Jakarta. He/she reports to the Director of Operations and will be a key member of the executive team. The HOS will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and attainment of financial targets whilst leading the sales team to success. To accomplish this, the HOS will need to have a strategic sales mindset and an exceptional understanding of the market to conceptualize and implement effective sales strategies while tapping and building upon key customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong reputation in hospitality, big box retail, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) or equivalent industry with a proven track record of sales success, an extensive network, and exceptional leadership skills.


HOW YOU’LL DO IT:


  • Establish performance goals for the sales team and monitor performance on a continual basis.
  • Establish and nurture key customer relationships. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and industry influencers. Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the customer base and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of sales efforts. Identify areas for process improvement and work collaboratively to implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain the Sales department budget, monitor sales activities and performance to ensure the venue meets or exceeds its monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
  • Conceptualize and develop an effective sales strategy and structure (team, processes, tools) for the Topgolf South Jakarta venue.
  • Leverage one’s existing network and proactively establish new relationships with key decision makers in various industries and companies to generate leads and business opportunities.
  • Represent Topgolf South Jakarta at various industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to introduce and enhance Topgolf’s brand visibility.
  • Monitor sales trends, analyze data, and generate regular reports on sales performance, key metrics, and market insights. Provide accurate sales forecasts to support budgeting and planning processes.
  • Develop and execute a successful sales strategy to drive revenue growth and achieve sales strategies. This includes, but is not limited to conferences, meetings, events, parties, team building, etc.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Apply this knowledge to continuously enhance sales strategies and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to maximize their potential. Set clear sales targets and monitor team performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing on venue-specific marketing campaigns and commercial partnerships throughout the year.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:


  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma or equivalent work experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Excellent reputation and strong network with a demonstrated ability to leverage relationships for business growth.
  • Demonstrate Topgolf’s Core Values at all times: Fun, One Team, Excellence, Courage and Caring.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Any additional language is a plus.
  • 10-12 years of sales experience, with the last 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in hospitality, MICE, attractions, entertainment, sports, big box retail or food & beverage/fast casual.
  • Self-motivated individual who likes challenges
  • Local candidates and those with a right to live and work in Indonesia are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Past success in building a sales organization and developing effective sales strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
