Business Development Executive / Manager (Indonesian)


Dataxet:sonar is looking for a Business Development Executive / Manager to hunt for prospective clients primarily through outbound approach. The suitable candidate needs to be able to develop a sales approach strategy tailored to specific industries, conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, and arrange business meetings with prospective clients.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Working closely with Insight Analyst Team & Marketing Team to develop sales tools; sales deck, insight content, case studies, sample reports
  • Create the best handover and onboarding strategy for each new client to the Client Experience Team who actively generate and engage with clients to help the company increase the number of new businesses and will strategically plan how to approach the client and offer compelling solutions for the client's needs.
  • Conduct & compile comparative study of competitor strength and weaknesses
  • Manage & develop Business Development Support staff
  • Develop pricing strategies
  • Prepare sales contracts / commercial proposal & scope of work
  • Working closely with Client Experience/Account team to prepare relevant use cases & case study tailored to potential client industry
  • Develop Industry Mapping of Product, Service, and Features for potential high revenue grossing industries
  • Working closely with the Marketing team to find and/or arrange revenue generating activities
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Providing post sales support
  • Working closely with Client Experience/Account team for quarterly business review of new onboarded clients after the first quarter of service
  • Working closely with Client Experience Team and other production departments (Tech, Data and Product Team) within the company when onboarding new clients as acting project manager
  • Working closely with other operational teams (Insights, Human Resources, Revenue Officer & Finance) within the company when onboarding new clients
  • Keep records of sales; MOM, quotation, commercial proposal, case studies, nda, contracts, etc.
  • Identifying key objective / pain points of clients to better understand the need and match solutions well within service offers
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Provide trial accounts and prepare the relevant findings to potential clients/leads
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify business prospects
  • Generate new business opportunities (B2B) to pitch our company and grow our client pipeline via various channels such as cold-calling, emails, and events



Qualifications and competencies:


  • Bachelor’s degree from top university (overseas graduate is a plus)
  • Be able to excel under pressure to hit sales targets
  • Numbers, quotas, or goal-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with the development, execution of sales plans and deal closures
  • Having 1-2 (BDE) to 5 (BDM) years of sales B2B experience in related areas with a proven track record, preferably from the same industry
  • Highly motivated with an outgoing personality, a strong sense of initiative, and personal leadership.
  • A person who is articulate, organized, detail-oriented, tech savvy and has the ability to multitask


High preference for candidates that have:

  • Have previous experience working with client success/accounts, product/tech and data science teams.
  • Media intelligence experience (social listening and media monitoring)
  • Have B2B sales or market research experience
